Tracey Richardson
Corporate Charity Partnerships Consultant
With a background in International Retail Project Management and Marketing at Marks & Spencer, Tracey was asked to lead the company's innovative Millennium Charity initiative - Children's promise. A first of its kind in engaging staff, customers, suppliers and the public at large across the UK in a ground breaking year long campaign to raise £7 million for 7 children's charities. The result far exceeded the target, achieving a total of £21 million for the 7 charities to share. The experience inspired Tracey to set up her own consultancy, Ampersand UK Ltd, with the express purpose of developing"Partnerships with Purpose" between businesses and charitable causes.
Over the past 20 years Tracey has successfully developed and managed partnership campaigns for high street banks, including Halifax Bank of Scotland, Lloyds and Barclays, major retailers including Woolworths UK, Tesco and One Stop. Charity clients include NSPCC, Living Streets and the Stroke Association. A core long term client is Louis Kennedy (LK), an agency recognised in the UK as a leader in "Partnerships with Purpose", with a particular expertise in bringing together licensed properties and charities as well as helping charities exploit their own IP. Examples include Shaun the Sheep and The Sleep Charity, The Teletubbies and Barnardo's and Care Bears with Young Lives vs Cancer. Tracey's work with LK, earned her recognition in a recent Licensing.biz Power 50, of the most influential people in licensing.
Tracey's highlight in terms of her personal achievements, is being selected as a Gamesmaker (volunteer) for the Media Centre during the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.
